James Fahy is the acclaimed British author of both the Fantasy series ‘Changeling’, and the Urban Gothic ‘Harkness’ books. He has published several novels across both series, each of which are frequently featured as bestsellers, and have captured both young and adult audiences alike. He has no intention of stopping writing until he runs out of breath or coffee.
He lives in the rural North of England with his wife and two adventurous children, with a small part of his heart in Oxford for safekeeping. When not in the wild Northern moors, he can usually be found in his spiritual homes of Wales and the Cotswolds, where he splits his time like a cottage-hopping vagabond.
Other than crafting stories for a living, James has a deep love of cooking, landscape photography, gardening, nature, making his own potions for health and skincare, and basically living as much like a hobbit as he can. He is the proud owner of a hyperactive Akita, several feral magpies and a pigeon named Chonk. James is represented by the Ampersand Literary Agency, Oxford, UK, and both his Changeling series and Harkness books have been published previously by Endeavour Media, London, Venture Press, London, and Lume Books, London. Special limited editions of his first Novel ‘Isle of Winds’ have also been produced by Bookvolts.
All three of the Harkness Books have been released as Audibooks, and the Entire Changeling Series is scheduled to come to Audio in late 2026.
He is currently signed to Joffe Books, which is the UK’s largest Independent Publisher. He is represented in the USA by the ASA Agency, Beverly Hills, CA.
